Why activate LokkiPayment?
LokkiPayment is Lokki’s integrated payment module, powered by Stripe. It allows you to accept online payments from your customers, manage card pre-authorizations (security deposits), and track your payouts without leaving the Lokki interface.
Activation steps
Activation takes place in 5 consecutive steps directly from your Lokki interface:
Go to Settings > LokkiPayment.
Click Activate LokkiPayment in the bottom-right corner.
Read and accept the terms and conditions by checking the box I have read and accept the terms and conditions of sale. These terms cover fees, invoicing and the payout of funds.
The screen below shows the checkbox for accepting the terms and conditions.
4. You will be redirected to Stripe to create your Stripe Express account. Follow the account creation process through to the end. This is the only time you will be redirected to Stripe.
5. Once you are back in Lokki, choose your payment options: full or partial payment, accepted payment methods, and card pre-authorization management.
⚠️ Even if you already have a Stripe account, you will need to create a new one, as this is a different type of account. From now on, you will have a Stripe Express account.

I already had a Stripe account. Do I need to create a new one?
Yes. LokkiPayment requires a dedicated Stripe Express account, separate from any existing Stripe account. All subsequent operations are carried out directly in Lokki, without having to go back through Stripe.
Can two separate Stripe accounts be managed, one for equipment-only rentals and one for the Experiences module?
No. With LokkiPayment, a single Stripe Express account is used across all modules: equipment-only rentals and the Experiences module.
